La mémoire collective est d’une importance capitale dans l’évolution de l’humanité. Les endroits tels le Musée de Centre commémoratif de l’Holocauste de Montréal sont essentiels afin d’informer tout un chacun au sujet d’événements tragiques, en l’occurrence la solution finale mise sur pied par le 3e Reich.

L’exposition permanente nous précipite dans l’histoire juive : avant, pendant et après le génocide de '33 à '45 par les Nazis. Artéfacts, photos et même témoignages en direct (s’informer auprès du coordonnateur du musée) retraçant l’intolérance, la haine et le sectarisme vécus durant la Shoah permettent une prise de conscience inégalée.

Pour avoir visité ce musée étant plus jeune, il est de mon avis qu’une fois que l’on apprend l’existence d’un tel événement, on réalise bien des choses. Il est de notre devoir, en temps qu’être humain, de se rappeler afin de ne pas répéter ce genre de vicissitudes.

Collective memory is of capital importance in the evolution of humanity. Places like the Montreal Holocaust Memorial Centre are essential to inform people about tragic events, namely the 'final solution' developed by the 3rd Reich.

The permanent exhibition immerses us in Jewish history before, during and after the Nazi genocide that took place between 1933 and 1945. Artefacts, photos and even live testimony (contact the museum coordinator for more information) showing the intolerance, hatred and bigotry of the Holocaust allow unmatched awareness.

Having visited the centre at a younger age, it is my opinion that once we learn the existence of such an event, we realize many things. One of them is that it is our duty, as Human beings, to remember in order to avoid repeating this kind of vicissitude.
