Security and confidentiality
ekimondo regularly organizes activities for its members and the general public and publishes works resulting from its different research and technology watch projects. To register for these activities or purchase publications, some Web visitors use the electronic route. The object of this policy is the measures taken by ekimondo so that the information collected online is processed securely and confidentially.
Security
ekimondo has established security measures on its computer servers to protect Web visitors against the loss or unauthorized use of information concerning them, transmitted by ekimondo and under its control.
ekimondo’s Internet servers are protected by a firewall technology.
However, no security mechanism is perfect and the users must be advised that a certain risk level still exists that the personal information transmitted to ekimondo may be disclosed without their consent and without any fault on ekimondo’s part.
ekimondo declines all responsibility regarding the fact that Web visitors’ confidential information could be disclosed, except in case of negligence on ekimondo’s part.
What information does ekimondo collect and how is it used?
In certain circumstances, ekimondo requires transmission of the name, address and email address and, if possible, certain other information. This information collected by ekimondo allows it to open personalized files, reach clients or partners, if necessary, and personalize its relations with them.
A Web visitor may request that the information related to his account not be kept by ekimondo and that no follow-up be done by ekimondo. It is sufficient to send an email to this effect to help@ekimondo.com. ekimondo then will delete the data related to the user’s account. The data useful to the ekimondo Community, such as the ekistops, cannot be deleted, however.
ekimondo wishes to specify that its members and partners at no time have access to the confidential information concerning its clients.
Links to other sites
The ekimondo site contains links to the websites operated by other organizations and companies. By clicking on these links, the Web visitor exits the ekimondo site. ekimondo exercises no control over the operation of these websites and the fact that they are referenced on the ekimondo site in no way incurs ekimondo’s liability. All personal information transmitted via these sites is subject to the privacy policy of these sites. We recommend that special attention be paid to the confidentiality policies of these sites.
Cookies
A cookie is a very small text file that records itself on the Web visitor’s hard drive from certain Web pages of the site. Cookies are harmless, in that they cannot extract information from the user’s hard drive, over which the user has full control. ekimondo uses cookies to produce the site’s traffic statistics. This technology does not make personal information concerning Web visitors systematically available to ekimondo. It is possible at any time to stop being subject to cookies by modifying your computer’s configuration.

ekimondo reserves the right to amend this policy at any time. Any amendment will be published on this site: Web visitors are invited to consult the contents of this page regularly. To facilitate identification of new conditions, the versions of this policy will be numbered.
ekimondo also reserves the right to transmit personal information concerning Web visitors to the extent that ekimondo is obliged by law or to protect its property rights to the site, or those of its users, members or partners.
